Toulouse University - Higher Education and Research in Toulouse Midi-Pyrénées

Toulouse University was created in 2007 to bring together public higher education and research institutions in Toulouse and the Midi-Pyrénées region. 4 universities and 17 specialised schools (many engineering schools) make up this umbrella organization. The goal of the Université de Toulouse is to increase the reputation and visibility of the academic institutions in the Midi-Pyrénées region on a European and international level.

Toulouse 1 Capitole University - Research and Teaching Excellence in the Social Sciences

Toulouse Capitole University (UT1), originated from the Faculty of Canon Law created in 1229 by King Saint Louis. In its current form since 1970, the University now specialises in Law, Economics and Management and is widely recognized as an excellent teaching center. UT1 is a public establishment with more than 20,600 students registered every year, and awards around 5,000 Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees each year.

IAE Toulouse School of Management - Building Knowledge Together

For nearly 60 years, IAE, the School of Management of Toulouse 1 Capitole University, has been working with the corporate world  to share academic knowledge and expertise in order to develop the management needs and the approaches of tomorrow.

IAE offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Management with specialisations in the fundamental management disciplines for both full-time and continuing education students. IAE focuses on professionalization courses to thoroughly prepare students for their future corporate responsibilities. IAE also offers a PhD in Management, designed to train leading professors and researchers.

IAE’s educational excellence is rooted in its extensive range of educational tools, the quality of its faculty, its strong international vision, and the highly skilled professionals who contribute to its courses.

Center for Research in Management (CRM) - A Joint Research Unit Accredited by the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)

One of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)’s Joint Research Teams (Unité Mixte de Recherche) since 2012, the research laboratory brings together 46 academic researchers from the IAE and Toulouse 1 Capitole University. Its research teams investigate all the management sciences: finance, human resources management, strategy, marketing, accounting and accounting management control.

The CRM’s highly international outlook can be observed in its membership, visiting lecturers, and partnerships with institutions such as London School of Economics, Princeton University and HEC Montréal. Many of its research projects are funded by public institutions including the European Union, the National Agency for Research, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the Regional Council of Midi-Pyrénées

The CRM is also the host laboratory of the Toulouse Doctoral School of Management Sciences, the CRM trains between 50 and 60 doctoral students per year.
